Advent Prayer Calendars

As you begin to celebrate Advent in new ways and old, we invite you to participate in the 2020 Alabama-West Florida Conference Advent prayer calendars. The focus of these calendars is on the recent disaster response efforts. This year has been unprecedented in numerous ways for everyone in our conference. Hurricanes Sally and Zeta added additional burdens for our disaster response ministry, local churches and communities. Through prayer and offerings, we continue to sustain a meaningful presence in communities that need us most.

There are calendars so that most age-level ministries are included and may participate. Instructions are below.

Download or print one of the calendar files below.

Consider setting daily reminders on your mobile device or posting a printed version in a place you will see daily.

Use the suggested prayers each day.

If you prefer to use a physical countdown calendar and do not have one, you may find some suggestions below.

Children's Felt Advent Calendar
Wooden Advent Calendar
Burlap Advent Calendar

Consider setting aside a daily monetary offering each day as you pray.

For children, let them put a small offering in the daily countdown slot. Perhaps they receive a candy cane or piece of chocolate and in turn, give a donation each day.

At the end of Advent, send your collection via one of two ways.

If you are participating with children, remind them that their dedication and money will make a significant difference no matter the amount. If you participated, we'd love to see your countdown calendars (and your kiddos) by tagging us on social media.

Offering checks may be mailed to:
